The Officers and Members of LPVRS are proud to announce this months Squad Person of the Month is Maggie Knapp and Officer of the Month to Richard Werring.

Maggie is an EMT with the Department and has been a member since August 2018. In the last 3 months, Maggie has run over 150 hours a month. She has filled in where needed when called and helps out with other jobs around the squad building as needed.

Richard is currently a Sergeant with the Rescue Squad fulfilling the many jobs assigned to his position and other jobs asked of him by his Peers. Richard is also the Assistant Training Officer. He continually goes above and beyond the normal running hours required by the Squad each month. He originally joined the Rescue Squad in April 2008 and earned his EMT in May of 2009. Due to a job relocation he went to a Reserve status then resigning his position with the Squad. He rejoined in January 2018 when he moved back to our community to continue his volunteer career once again for the Rescue Squad and our community.

LPVRS as with all Fire Departments and Rescue Squads in St. Marys County are always accepting applications for Volunteers. If you would like to volunteer for the Rescue Squad or Fire Department in your community, go to their website and fill out an application and someone will be in contact with you.
