By Recording Secretary Cathy Miller
May 18, 2020

The Squad Person of the Month (SPOM) for May is one of our Junior Members, Jacob Gaskins. He joined the Rescue Squad in August 2019. Along with running his regular duty hours he is also a fulltime student and a member of the robotics team - 836 Robobees. The officers of the Rescue Squad nominated Jacob for this award for many reasons. Such as running his regular duty, coming by and helping out with extra duties such as cleaning and washing ambulances and our building during the COVID crisis that is in our community.

Officer of the Month is our BLS Deputy Chief, Kim Adams. She was nominated by her peers because of her dedication and passion for helping out in our community. Kim has been a member of the Rescue Squad since 1983. She has held several officer positions to include the Chief of the Rescue Squad. In the last several of months, she had volunteered over 100 hours on the ambulance along with her regular duties as the BLS Deputy Chief at the Squad. She has also volunteered to help with the cleaning of the building and apparatus during the COVID crisis in our community.
